Members should share gospel wherever they go... 4/30/12

HEY EVERYBODY!

It is always good to get an email every week and get to hear the family news. It sounds like all went well with the birth of Tye (by the way, good name pickin. I like it). It is so weird to think there are 2 nephews that I don't even know yet. It is good to hear that all went well with both Nikki and Tye.
This week was a good one, nothing toooo crazy or unordinary, but it just felt like a good week. We had Stake Conference yesterday, which went really well, and we got to have President Foster of the Seventy come and Elder D Giovanni from the area presidency there. It was a really good conference, and Elder Foster talked about the family and the importance of sharing the gospel with our children at a young age, making sure that they constantly have the church on their minds, so that when they reach around 12 years old, they can make the right decisions on their own. President Madariaga also shared a really cool talk about what we teach as missionaries, and how every single member should be sharing the gospel wherever they go.

We were lucky to have a new investigator at the conference. She is the girlfriend of a member and she really liked the talks and testimonies. We gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon, and she said we could come over any time. We will see how that goes. We have still been trying with Diana (daughter of a member) and she really has been feeling the spirit strongly. She just is not sure about being baptized and we don´t want to obligate her so we will see what her decision will be. We have been very straight forward about the consequences of not being baptized, so we will see what her next step is. We also have a new investigator named Hector, who is really cool, and read A TON in the Book Of Mormon. We gave him the book 2 weeks ago, and he is already in Alma 30!!!! Insane. Never on my mission have I had an investigator so engrossed in the Book of Mormon. He even told us that he knows the church is true and that the book is true, but has the same problem as Diana, he is just not sure yet. Which is OK, but we are just hoping he and Diana get sure soon!

It is finally cold again here in Paraguay, and I am passing by my last winter season here in this beautiful land of the Mandioca. This week in my studies I read a couple chapters in Alma about the Anti-Nephi-Lehis, and it really got me pumped on the work. Especially a couple verses in Ch. 26:22 and verses in Ch. 29:8-10. Some really good stuff in there. A couple of the steps we need to take as missionaries and as members of the church in order to bring many souls to salvation. I love this gospel so much and have been blessed to be a participant in this amazing work of the Lord. I love you all so much and I know I say it every week, but I MEAN IT!!
LOVE
Elder Pearson
